It’s another perfect day in Paris, sunny and temperate with low dew points (I sound like my favorite weather account). Every time I’m in Paris, it’s wet and grey so I am very very happy!!!!
7:30am—I wake up without an alarm (the only way I want to live my life) and check my Oura score. 86 with a crown! For my first night in Paris, it’s a real win—and a testament to staying up as late as humanly possible the day you arrive to beat jet lag. I go down to the local Franprix to buy Volvic water.
8:30am—Breakfast at my hotel. Solo hotel breakfasts have become somewhat of a little happy haven for me. I love not interacting with anyone to start my day, especially during a very social week. I eat soft boiled eggs, a perfect coffee, and what feels like an entire baguette to myself.
10am—I move my body for a little bit at the hotel gym. It feels very nice to stretch it out and break a sweat.
11:30am—My makeup artist and dear friend Alex Levy comes over and we yap and gag while he makes me look really good. This Fara Homidi lip liner in Minky is getting rapidly shorter from how often I use it. Every time I think I want a different lip, I come back to this one—the most perfect shade of my lips but better, fuller, more delicious.
1pm—Another solo lunch. I never wanna eat French food (sorry……..) and I’m thrilled to see I’m surrounded by so many good Japanese restaurants. I figured hand rolls would be fast and perfect for a solo lunch.
2pm—Polo Ralph Lauren presentation. This year, the brand opted for a runway-presentation hybrid. Attendees were told to arrive promptly at 2pm, rather than within the usual windowed time frame.
The collection this year is shown in a barn-like venue, with wispy late-summer grass surrounding the runway-style platform. It’s the perfect setting for a vibrant, fun, and playful collection full of the usual codes we know and love from Polo, with an even more eclectic energy than ever before. There’s so much color, artisanal Native beadwork, swimsuits-as-clothing, and that distinctly Ralph Lauren way of making pieces that belong to completely different worlds somehow make perfect sense together. Guests are all buzzzzing at the collection and impeccable styling.

The Polo girl this season collects pieces from her travels and experiences, weaving them into her wardrobe as a way of telling the world she’s well-traveled, informed, and forever curious. The very definition of devastatingly hot and cool, by the way. It’s a wardrobe that feels accumulated—a reflection of everywhere she’s been and everything she’s picked up along the way. I really resonate.
3:30pm—Lanvin show. I hop into my car and do a quick outfit change into a full raw denim look from Lanvin’s latest resort collection.
The show is in the Opéra Bastille, in what looks like an unfinished construction site, raw and brutalist in nature. The collection is a love letter to Jeanne Lanvin, a woman who was, in many ways, a pioneer for womenswear. It’s stripped of color, save for some looks in that signature Lanvin red, a bright yellow and an aquamarine that we are seeing everywhere on the runway. Peter Copping takes the house back to what it’s best at: evening wear that is both sexy and romantic, powerful and soft. My favorite piece was a jacquard blazer-dress thing tied to the side that was truly modest in nature but read as so sexy to me!
6pm—Tove/TWP cocktails—two brands within a shared showroom. I’ve long-admired and supported Tove for so many years and they keep getting it right every year for when you need pieces that feel elevated but not too serious. TWP was a much larger collection, attributed to its commercial success and sportswear-leaning approach to getting dressed.
7pm—Ralph Lauren cocktail party at Ralph’s to celebrate the new Polo Blaze bag. The weather was fucking incredible and the space (and people) so gorgeous.
Every brand needs a bag, and Polo Ralph Lauren has several that have entered the handbag space in such a convincing way. The new Polo Blaze feels like a natural continuation of that world: equestrian-inspired, practical, and polished. The hit size was the medium with elongated straps—easy to throw over your shoulder, substantial enough to actually carry your life in.
9pm—Dinner at Chez Marcel.
2am—I slept SO late this evening, mainly to finish digesting the food and wine. Ugh. Definitely will not get an optimal sleep score tonight, but c’est la vie.
Other things of note:
The Givenchy collection was very very good. And again just proves how good a womenswear collection could be when designed by a woman. Sarah Burton stays focused on an idea of luxury that is never ostentatious. Her idea of tailoring feels ultra-feminine and just really sexy!

I am equally obsessed with the compact mirror belts and the zipper bags.

Jack & Lazaro seemed to really go back into the Jonathan Anderson archives at Loewe. Pieces felt sculptural and cool again, what Loewe always did so well, especially through canvas and leather outerwear. The use of color also that familiar playful whimsy Anderson did so well at the house.
