Ciaoooo from Milano where I have been for the past <2 days on a very quick stopover before I depart to Modena in just a few hours for one of my best friend’s wedding!!! The last time I was in Milan was last August and I was on yet another layover before heading to Porto Ercole for the rest of my summer. The only three places I stopped at was the Miu Miu store on Via’Sant Andrea (where a patchwork Beau bag was purchased), Camparino for a little spritz cool down, and a random touristy pasta joint nearby that was actually delicious.

I’ve been meaning to come back and spend some more time in this city, a place I’ve long-admired for its importance in design, art, and of course, fashion. Just walking around the city and seeing the everyday person dressed up makes me so happy. There is sensibility in everything here, and that is what I think is intrinsically missing these days in America (even in New York, sadly).

Anyways! It is fashion week here and while I did not plan on attending any fashion week happenings—I actually vowed to be “out of office until October 1”—I got a glimpse into the energy of Milan Fashion Week. I made it to my hit list places (see below) and hope to keep coming back and back again because wowwwww Milan, I get it.

Here’s a mini travel guide of what I crammed into my t48 hours here and the outfits I wore.

I love an Italian bed!!!!!! Flat pillows, thin sheets, hard mattress.
Dinner at Da Giacomo, not to be mistaken by their newer outpost next door Bistrot Giacomo. The original is an old world classic, with lighting that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
Insanely simple but perfected risotto, with citrus rind, anchovies, and parsley powder. Just wow.
What I wore to Villa Necchi! The main reason why I decided to stop in Milan before Modena was to visit this historic home-turned-museum. I’m wearing J.Crew barn jacket sweater in boiled wool, High Sport jacquard pants, A.P.C. Virginie Box bag
