#084: How to be devastatingly hot and cool, August '25

Not a pre-fall issue, but also not not a pre-fall issue!!!!

Listening to Laufey’s new album quite literally puts in me in another headspace that feels necessary and utterly refreshing. It’s an epic album that is meant to be listened to by a fireplace with a hot cocktail in hand. It has so many nods to the past and to tradition that it’s the only audible manifestation of retro fetishism that feels endearing and acceptable right now. And it sets the tone for August’s issue of How to be devastatingly hot and cool.
