#022: 7 noteworthy things I did (bought) this week

I always thought Black Friday/Cyber Monday is a little bit of sham — not so much for retailers (they definitely know what they’re doing), but for consumers who desperately and willfully let businesses capitalize off of their excitement for a weekend solely focused on the conspicuous consumption of things you probably won’t want or need that much a few months from now. If you’re a seasoned shopper, you know that there are constant sales from now until the end of the year. And then into the new year, there’s always the end of season sale before brands and retailers usher in the new spring/summer collections.
Alas, there is always a deal lurking that will prompt you to buy something you’ve probably had your eye on for quite sometime. In fact, this is the only framework to which I will approach Black Friday and Cyber Monday: buy only the things you’ve been eyeing for a sustained amount of time, because it means you’ve probably thought out that purc…
